This book is a classic of cycling adventure. It was first published in 1900 from Richardson’s interview with ‘Pedal’ of the West Australian newspaper. First edition copies are exceedingly rare.
This electronic edition includes commentary by relatives of Richardson and book collector Geoff Owen. Also included is a copy of a map that Richardson made of his earlier Nullarbor crossing, as well as correspondence between him and his sponsor, Percy Armstrong, and extracts from newspapers reporting the progress of the ride.
